Goodbye Doppler
I was having a much needed little tidy up today and I came across my doppler. Who knew when I rented it back in February that I would actually go a day without using it!!!!!!!! L. is moving around all the time now and I can do kick counts if I get worried so I’m sending the dear little doppler back to whence it came. It was a lifesaver in those early days. It put my mind at ease so much.
Goodbye sweet Doppler

I'm so glad to hear you are doing well and can send the doppler back.
But I'm so sorry to hear about Paddy. I still get a little sad thinking about my little Clyde, the cat we had for 20 years.
Dear Portlairge, I'm so glad things are going well in your pregnancy, and that you are putting your Doppler to rest. Congratulations on your 30-weeks milestone!
And I'm so sorry about Paddy. What a sad loss.
I am glad that you feel confident enough to send back the doppler. Other than the heart burn and sore pubic bones, I hope you enjoy the last few months of your pregnancy.
That's just brilliant! Good for you.
Sorry about the pubic pain, I had that too and I know how uncomfortable it can be. When you see and feel his little head you'll wonder that it was every inside you and you'll know exactly why it hurt so f*kin much. I had a big baby too, it's definitely got something to do with the pain, and I know you've heard it I know you know it but it really is all worth it in the end. Be well honey, keep cooking that baby!
LOL! I was just going to write a post on the doppler-thing. I'm getting tempted to rent one until I can really start feeling movements but we'll see if I go through with it. Congrats on all the movements!! Aren't they the best?!
YEAH! I am so glad you are feeling so good about things... only 9 weeks to go! =)
I can SO relate to this post! I used it everydayu- multiple times a day. I used it at least in the morning before I went to work and in the evening before bed. I just wanted to know she was still in there alive and well. Now that I feel her moving all the time, I never use the doppler. And that's a great feeling!
Hee-Hee. I, too, rented a doppler and was addicted to the thing-morning, noon, and night. And even though I'm 38 weeks now, I still use the thing maybe once or twice a week, when the baby isn't moving around as much. It must be a great feeling to finally mail it back. Congrats!
I found doing kick counts really useful. I know there are different schools of thought on how to do it but I would count 10 kicks from 9am and then record the time. Very reassuring.
Hey sweetie, email me twocrazyturtles AT msn DOT com :-)
30 weeks on July 30 and it's now Sept 8 so you're what 36 weeks or so? Mad! I just came back from 5 weeks at home with the little man, he'll be 2 in November, it really goes so fast! Hope it continues to go well for you, looking forward to clicking on here one day soon and reading the good news.
